American history series textbook and ancillary materials
The challenge for the branding of American Stories was incorporating the backdrop of America with a variety of key historical figures to emphasize the diversity and richness of our history. Another challenge was finding the compelling images to illustrate that history. I used the American flag and a rich blue as the backdrop for the series look and feel. The strong typography and imagery created a distinct identity for this history series, unique to McDougal Littell. I worked with vendors to create packaging for the tapes, DVDs and additional teachers aids.
